Job Aid
This “cheat sheet” reminds volunteers how to complete accurate timesheets in order to receive reimbursement for their time and expenses. I was the writer on a three-person team that created this job aid for Homage Senior Services, a Snohomish County nonprofit organization. I conducted audience research and interviewed the Subject Matter Expert who coordinates Senior Companions, a federally funded volunteer program. The team contributed the checklist to Homage Senior Services as an “in-kind” donation. The initial feedback was positive. Our checklist was introduced to a new group of volunteers and all of them turned in timely, accurate and complete timesheets. The only new volunteer who turned in an un-signed timesheet was someone who had not yet received our checklist.

Web-based Guide
I was a writer and editor on a six-person team that made this web-based guide on WordPress for college students who want to use ChatGPT in their writing assignments, but don’t want to violate their institutions’ rules for academic integrity. I interviewed a college student to help develop a user persona. I helped our team create an empathy map and user journey. I researched and wrote the section on how to property cite ChatGPT. I also conducted a usability test with the student I interviewed that resulted in several improvements to our document.
